Walsh named Kentucky music educator of the year

Patrick Walsh is continuing what is becoming a tradition among LaRue County Schools’ music teachers — being named the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s Fourth District Music Educator of the Year.

Walsh, who teaches at Hodgenville Elementary School, said he was shocked and excited on hearing that he had been named to that honor.

 “I didn’t realize you could receive this at my age and level of experience,” he acknowledged.
