Valley rally ends Hawks' football season

Trailing 19-18 entering the final period, Valley tallied 18 unanswered points, pulling away to a 36-19 victory over LaRue County in the first round of the state Class 4-A high school football playoffs Friday at Louisville.

“Our game plan was to stop their best running back Gerwan Brewer, and we did that pretty well for three quarters,” said Rodney Armes, LaRue’s head coach.
