LaRue Fiscal Court discussed winter preparations at its meeting last week.
Road supervisor Timmy Brown told LaRue County magistrates meeting Dec. 9 at the courthouse in Hodgenville that the county has enough salt on hand for three rounds of spreading.
“Last week, Morton’s delivered about 94 tons of salt which gives us about 225 tons on hand,” Brown said. The cost of $100.25 per ton more than doubled last year's price of $48, he added.
