United Way of Central Kentucky expects to fill its executive director's post before April.

The agency, which reported having received 24 resumes in its search last week, will have qualified candidates to choose from, said Greg Schreacke, chairman of the board of directors. Those wishing to apply should do so before Dec. 31. A search committee set up by the board will help with the effort.

The position became open this fall when Susan Asher stepped down after serving almost a dozen years.
