Underclassmen shine in Wooden Bat Classic

Coach Chris Price and his Hawks hosted the Wooden Bat Classic, sponsored by Nall’s Specialized Hauling, last weekend.

LaRue was joined by DeSales, Adair County and Somerset to play in a round- robin format, using wooden bats. The Hawks finished 1-2 with 16 players out Saturday evening to attend the LaRue County High School prom.

On Friday, LaRue opened the tournament by dropping to a tough DeSales team, 10-2. Desales came in to the tournament with a 10-2 record.
