Two local residents honored by stock car track

Two LaRue County residents werehonored when the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown honored the best of the best of its Saturday Night Showtime for the 2008 racing season.

Elton Martin of Hodgenville finished fifth in the Sportsman feature points competition. Nathan Wells of Magnolia finished ninth in the same category.

They were among the stock car drivers honored Nov. 8 at the 2008 Championship Awards Banquet, which took place at the Nelson County Fairgrounds adjacent to the track.
