A large tree fell across Bardstown Road near the intersection with Browns Court about 10:20 p.m. Monday. Visibility was poor due to the windy, rainy conditions, and two cars struck the tree, causing damage to the vehicles. It’s unclear if the drivers were injured. Windstream was called to remove the tree from their lines. Bardstown Road was closed for about an hour while workers removed the tree. LaRue County Deputy Robby Brownfield investigated.
