Tour de LaRue draws 225

About 225 recreational cyclists turned out for the 10th annual Tour de LaRue on Sept. 21 at Hodgenville Elementary School. Participants ranged from toddlers to seniors and in many cases the entire family joined in the event. Riders chose from three different routes with the longest being 6.5 miles through rural LaRue County.


Sponsors for the ride included Fort Knox Federal Credit Union, The WULF 94.3, Bank of Buffalo, Duke’s Sporting Goods, Magnolia Bank, Phelps Heating and Cooling, HES Family Resource Center, Nall’s Specialized Hauling, LaRue County Youth Service Center, LaRue County Health Department, Office Depot, Lincoln National Bank, Hornback Construction, The Sweet Shoppe, Roby’s County Garden, American Cancer Society, Bullmoose Brothers Bicycles, Rock and Rogers Service Center, LaRue County Migrant Education, LCHS CVS Club, LCHS 3-D Club, LaRue County Extension Service, Schwinn Biking of Elizabethtown, Garry and Kathy Ross, Dale Morris, LaRue County Farm Bureau, and several anonymous contributors.

Local fire departments and law enforcement officials provided traffic stops for the cyclists throughout the tour.
