TOUCHPOINTS: God will never fail us

-A A +A
By Phyllis Perkins

Life sometimes brings unpleasant circumstances our way. At times, we will all feel cheated, angry and frustrated.

Emotions like these are natural, but we can't hold on to these feelings and have contentment in our life. Bitterness will take the place of peace and contentment.

The writer of Ecclesiastes knew that all people are not given equal situations. It is pointless to worry ourselves over what was given to someone else and not to us. Contentment is not found in money or success. Real peace and contentment is learning to be happy with much or little. Let us be satisfied with what God has given us, and when our heart is breaking we need to remember God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

We can always know that God cares, and he will give us strength to go on. We can only find real contentment when we put our trust in the Lord.
