A storm front promising to bring strong winds also could lead to creation of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms overnight.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch across the western half of Kentucky, including LaRue County.
The tornado watch will remain in effect until 5 a.m. Wednesday. The public is advised to be alert to changing conditions and keep emergency provisions including a portable radio and flashlight at hand.
