A tornado warning has been issued for LaRue County. The warning lasts until 5 a.m.
A severe storm carrying winds in excess of 50 mph is passing through the area. It is bringing heavy rain and the potential for flooding as well.
The National Weather Service issued the storm warning based on dangers indicated by weather radars. The greatest threat at present is for southern portions of the county but all of LaRue is covered by the warning.
Residents are urged to take shelter.
