Tennis teams split win with Nelson

In LaRue’s only tennis match of the week, the girls’ and boys’ team split one each facing a tough Nelson County team Thursday in Hodgenville.

The girls' team was edged out 3-2 but with winning efforts from Kameron Howell in singles competition and Betsy Durham and Paige Nalley in doubles.

The boys’ team swept Nelson in match play 5-0 with impressive outings from Bo Haun and Brent Gozzard.
