Ten people were indicted Jan. 13 by a LaRue County grand jury. Charges ranged from drug trafficking to burglary to manslaughter.
Brian Christopher Smith, 27, of River Road, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, operating motor vehicle while license suspended and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance.
Smith was the driver of a pickup truck that crashed head-on into a fertilizer truck Nov. 22, according to the LaRue County Sheriff’s Department. One of his passengers, Kevin D. House, died of injuries sustained in the crash.
