A Hodgenville teen is recovering at home after being thrown from a horse last week.
Blake Brown, 13, and her mother Sharon Friend were horseback riding on Trumbo Road about noon May 29 when Blake’s horse spooked.
Friend said a tractor hauling a hay conditioner came down the road, frightening the horse. Blake’s horse didn’t buck, she said, but “kicked out” and caused her to lose her balance. She hit her head on the pavement.
“I saw her convulse,” Friend said.
