Teen dies in single vehicle wreck

Funeral is Saturday

Joseph David Ray Shoffner, 19, of New Haven died Tuesday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on Bardstown Road.

According to LaRue County Deputy Marcus Jackson, Shoffner was driving near Lincoln Boyhood Home at Knob Creek when he lost control of the Chevrolet Blazer. The vehicle rolled three or four times and Shoffner, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

LaRue County Fire Department responded also to the scene.

Shoffner is survived by his mother, Angela Gail Ball; his father, Crazy Horse Shoffner; and two brothers.
