A LaRue County High School senior was charged April 26 with unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
According to the citation, Travis Austin Ramsey, 18, of Sonora, was found to be in possession of a lock blade knife at the Alternative School.
Police Chief Steve Johnson wrote in the citation that Ramsey “waived his rights” and said he forgot the knife was in his pocket.
Ramsey will be arraigned May 15 in LaRue District Court.
A bench warrant was filed on Ramsey April 3 for failure to appear in court. He was charged with intentional breach of compulsory attendance laws.
