The Sweet Shoppe fudge offered in gift shop

-A A +A

A new gift shop opened Monday inside Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Grayson County.
Besides expected gifts such as cards, balloons and flowers, there will be a more varied fare.
Many items in the store are USA and Kentucky made with Grayson County items featured. However, Hodgenville fudge maker Pat Durham of The Sweet Shoppe will present more than six flavored fudges, including Creamsicle and Turtle fudges.
Other items include handmade pewter jewelry from Berea, a cookbook featuring recipes from famous Kentuckians, including one from Grayson County artist Larry Elmore and handmade candles.
The shop is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. all week with hospital auxiliary volunteers manning the store.
Profits from the store will benefit the auxiliary which funds an education scholarship and equipment purchases for the hospital.
