I have received a few phone calls inquiring if volunteers help in the spiritual needs of residents at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. Yes, we do.
Volunteers run three spiritual activities every week, lasting about one hour each.
We have “sunshine time” at 7 p.m. Monday; and “family time” at 3 p.m. Saturday. At their request, we bring residents to the singing area and back to their rooms when singing is over. We sing songs from hymn books and have a short devotional. We also pray for residents who are sick or ailing.
