I’m sure everyone is aware that some people want to remove God from our lives. They want to remove “under God,” from the pledge, remove the Ten Commandments, have no prayer in school and the list goes on.
Why are we letting these people take away what this nation was founded under? We put contact information in the paper regularly so you can write to the politicians and tell them what you think. If these politicians that we elected don’t work for “we the people” then “we the people” need to remove them.
Hello government! Have you not noticed the Ten Commandments are all over your buildings? The Supreme Court building has Moses and the Ten Commandments in numerous very public places in their own building.
Needless to say, I am opposed to removing God from any aspect of my life, public or private. If they want to remove God from our lives, then why are they vacationing on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving and Easter? It’s just another day to them, so why aren’t they working?
Forget your Christmas break, it’s just another day to you folks. Why are we paying you to take a holiday you don’t believe in? Are you honoring my God just to get a day off? Why are you people not on the job on Sunday? It’s just another day to you. Think of all the money the government and industry will save not paying holiday salaries for these Christian holidays.
Just think of it, they’ll be at work while we’re honoring our God. I think this is a fair deal. We certainly don’t want to push our God on anyone. We’ll be glad to tell you about him, so you can make it to Heaven, but we won’t force it on you.
If you go to a foreign country, do you expect that government to hide their religion so it doesn’t offend you? That’s absurd isn’t it? You’re right, it is. And it’s just as absurd for anyone to expect us to hide the God that this country was founded under just because people have moved in from another country. They know what our country stands for when they come in and the door swings both ways for anyone who doesn’t like it.
They want us to have a “happy holiday” and our tree is now a “holiday tree.” (It’s not politically correct to call it a Christmas tree). Do you get the idea that being politically correct means giving up your Christian heritage? I am not politically correct and I make no apologies for saying Merry Christmas. If you put Merry X-mas on your business marquee, don’t look for me inside your building. If there’s no room for Christ on your billboard, there’s no room for me inside.
So to anyone (Republicans and Democrats alike) who is trying to ruin our Christian nation, you have a great day at work on our Lord’s birthday while we share our love with family and friends and honor Jesus Christ on his birthday, Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas to all.
