Youth softball sign ups
Sign ups for the LaRue County Youth Softball Fall League will be July 9 and 23 at LaRue County Parks and Recreation for girls U6-U14. For more information, contact Jeff Shelton at 358-3384 visit Facebook at LaRue County Youth Softball.

LCHS Soccer Boosters to meet
LaRue County High School Soccer Booster meetings will be on the second Monday of each month. The next meeting is 6:30 p.m. July 11 in the LCHS cafeteria. All parents and players are invited to attend.
 
Future Hawks Basketball Camp
The LaRue County High School basketball staff will host the Future Hawks Basketball Camp July 11-14. The camp is open to any boy in grades 1-8 as of August. Grades 1-4 will run 9-11 a.m. Grades 5-8 will run 11:30-1:30 p.m. Cost of camp is $35 with $5 discount for each additional sibling. Camp fee will include T-shirt, competition awards and fundamental instruction from the LCHS basketball staff. Forms may be picked up at local schools. Pre-registration forms can be mailed to Josh Henderson at 101 Teri Rose Court, Hodgenville or registration will be accepted on the first day of camp. Volleyball tryouts
The LaRue County High School volleyball team will hold tryouts 9-11 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 15 in the LCHS gym. All players are required to attend both sessions. In order to try out, players must have a current KHSAA physical. Forms can be picked up in the LCHS office. LCHS Soccer Boosters Car Wash
The LCHS Soccer Boosters will hold a car wash 10 a.m.-noon July 16 in the Save-A-Lot parking lot.

LCHS Soccer Boosters fish fry
The LCHS Soccer Boosters will have a fish fry fundraiser 5-7 p.m. July 16 at Sportsman Lake. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children and are available from any booster member. For more information, call Bill Hawkins at 268-1918. There will be a cornhole tournament with entry fee of $20 per team.

LCMS football players need physical before July 18
LaRue County Middle School football will begin 5:30 p.m. July 18. Practice ends at 7:30 p.m. You must have a sports physical before you can participate in practice. Players will meet in the football field house.

Lady Hawks Basketball Summer Camp set for July 25-27
The LaRue County Lady Hawks will host a basketball camp July 25-27 in the LCHS gym. Camp for 1st-4th grade will be 10-11:30 a.m.; 5th-8th grades will meet 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Campers will be taught fundamentals by the LCHS and LCMS coaching staffs and possible guest hosts. Cost is $35 per camper or $60 for two in same family. Pre-registration is not needed. For more information, call Coach Travis Wootton at 270-734-1475.

WKU Heartland Area Alumni Chapter/Jared Salvia Memorial Scramble
The Western Kentucky University Heartland Area Alumni Chapter/Jared Salvia Memorial golf scramble is July 25 at Lincoln Trail Country Club in Vine Grove with a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
The WKU Heartland Alumni chapter represents WKU alumni in Hardin, Meade and LaRue counties. All proceeds go to supporting scholarships that are awarded to incoming freshman of WKU to graduating seniors from these counties.

Jakes Day
The Lincoln Area Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual Jakes Day event 1-5 p.m. Aug. 28 at 1196 Knob Schoolhouse Road, Sonora. Registration is 12:30 p.m. The event is for Jakes (ages 4-12) and Extreme Jakes (ages 13-16). There will be fishing, BB gun shoots, an archery shoot, a .22 rifle shoot and a Farm Safety & Fishing for Kids class.
