Volleyball skills clinic
The LaRue County High School volleyball team will be hosting a volleyball skills clinic for girls in grades K-5.  The clinic will be 10 a.m.-noon June 8-9 in the LCHS gym. Cost is $45 and will include a T-shirt. Make checks payable to the LCHS Volleyball Boosters. Registration forms may be picked up at ALES, HES or LCHS. Jake’s Day
The Lincoln Area Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will hold its annual Jakes Day Event 1-5 p.m. June 19 at 1196 Knob School House Road, Sonora, for both Jakes (ages 4-12) and Extreme Jakes (ages 13-16). Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited. There will be fishing, (bring something to take your fish home in if you choose to do that), BB shoots, archery shoot, .22 rifle shoot, farm safety and fishing. Campbellsville Girls Hoops Camp
The Campbellsville University Lady Tigers are hosting their inaugural team camp June 20-22. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of eight games in three days, with competition divided between varsity, JV and middle school divisions. Teams must have seven players minimum. Future Hawks Basketball Camp
The LaRue County High School Basketball Staff will host its annual Future Hawks Basketball Camp on July 11-14. The Camp will be open to any boy in grades 1-8 as of August 2011.  There will be two sessions. Session 1: 1-4 grades will run from 9-11 a.m. and Session 2: 5-8 grades will run from 11:30-1:30 p.m. Cost of camp is $35 with $5 discount for each additional sibling.  Camp Fee will include T-shirt, competition awards and fundamental instruction from the LCHS basketball staff.  Forms were sent home at local schools. Additional copies can be picked up at local schools. Pre-registration forms can be mailed to Josh Henderson at 101 Teri Rose Ct., Hodgenville, KY or registration will be accepted on the first day of camp. LaRue Chamber Golf Scramble
LaRue County Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled its 17th annual fundraiser golf scramble 9 a.m. July 13 at LaRue County Country Club. Cost is $60 a player or $240 per team and includes lunch, hole prizes, door prizes, cash prizes and a jackpot. For more information, call 358-3411.
