Taking Care of Business 5K
The Taking Care of Business 5K will be 9 a.m. Sept. 14 at the LaRue County High School front parking lot. The fundraiser will help business and technology students going to Disney World in November to participate in Disney’s Youth Education Series. Iron Horse fun run/walk
The Rolling Fork Iron Horse Festival will hold a fun run/walk Sept. 14. For more information, download a registration form at www.newhaven.ky.gov or pick up a form at New Haven City Hall.

Saint Jude Charity golf scramble

A barbecue dinner, auction and golf scramble will be held Sept. 21 at LaRue County Country Club with proceeds to benefit Saint Jude. The golf scramble begins at 1 p.m. with sign-up at noon. Entry fee is $60 per player or $240 per team. Pulled pork dinner served 4-7 p.m. for $8, dine in or carry out. Cornhole tournament is at 5 p.m., $20 per team. Big Brothers Big Sisters super hero family fun run
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana’s super hero family fun run is Sept. 28 at Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 3-12 until Sept. 20. Family packages cost $50. Teams can consist of two adults and up to three children or one adult and up to three children. Runners will receive a performance T-shirt or a super hero cape. Run for Life
USA Cares will hold “Run for Life” (5K, 10K) 7:30 a.m. Sept. 28 at North Hardin High School, 801 S. Logsdon Parkway, Radcliff. Proceeds benefit military families.

Walk in the Park at Mammoth Cave

Mammoth Cave National Park will hold a Walk in the Park 9 a.m. Sept. 28. The four-mile hike is a fundraiser in support of Park programs and projects. Registration is $15 for adults and $5 for youth under age 12. Log onto www.friendsofmammothcave.org for event registration and T-shirt orders.

Jack Mitchell Invitational
The LaRue County High School Cross Country Team will sponsor the Jack Mitchell Invitational on Oct. 1. Campbellsville and Fort Knox teams will compete.

LaRue County Park and Recreation Board
