 Tackle for the Cure

The LaRue County Hawks will play a “pink out” game for breast cancer awareness Oct. 26 against Washington County. All spectators are encouraged to wear pink as part of “Tackle for the Cure.” It is also Senior Night. Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m.

 

Band of Hawks competition

The LaRue County Band of Hawks will compete Oct. 27 in semifinals and finals in Bowling Green.

 

St. Jude’s golf scramble and corn hole tournament

A golf scramble to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and WHAS Crusade for Children will be 1 p.m. Oct. 27 at LaRue County Country Club. 

Entry fee is $240 per team or $60 per player. A cornhole tournament begins at 4:30 p.m. (sign-in at 4 p.m.) with $20 entry fee. For more information, call Tommy Locke at 358-3710 or 763-7178.

 

5K run/walk at Bernheim Forest on Oct. 27 benefits Home of the Innocents

Home Run 2012 at Bernheim Forest will be 9 a.m. Oct. 27 to benefit Home of the Innocents.

The event offers a scenic 10K run or 5K run/walk through the winding trails of Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest in Clermont (about a half-hour south of Louisville). Fee is $30 day of event. Boys little league basketball sign-ups

The LaRue County boys little league basketball sign-ups are 9-11 a.m. Nov. 3 and 6-8 p.m. Nov. 5 at the LaRue County High School gym. The league is for boys in first to sixth grade.
