Soccer registration
The LaRue County Youth Soccer Association will have registration for U4 to U19 players, 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 9 in the Abraham Lincoln Elementary School cafeteria. No late registration. Fee is $40 for first child; $35 for each additional child. Volunteer fee is $10 per child or $20 maximum per family (refundable). Uniforms are $20 for U4-U8; $25 for U-10-U19. Players will not be placed on a team until all fees are paid.

Girls’ youth softball sign-ups
LaRue County girls’ youth softball will hold sign-ups 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Feb. 9, 16 and 23; and 1-3 p.m. Feb. 24, at LaRue County Park and Recreation. No late sign-ups after tryouts are held. For more information, call 270-234-4887.
Youth soccer fundraiser – Mr. Gatti’s Night
The LaRue County Youth Soccer Association will have a fundraiser 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 13 at Mr. Gatti’s in Elizabethtown. A flyer is required for LCYSA to receive credit for the visit and will be available at the register.
Cheer championships
The inaugural KHSAA Competitive Cheer Championships will be Feb. 23 at WKU’s Diddle Arena. The event was postponed due to inclement weather. Updated event information is available at the KHSAA website at khsaa.org.
Stars and Strikes Bowl-a-thon Kickoff Luncheon
The USA Cares Stars and Strikes Bowl-a-thon is Feb. 22 through March 10 at varying times at Dix-E-Town Lanes, 4547 N. Dixie Hwy., Elizabethtown. Cost is $50 per bowler and includes two games of bowling, pizza and sweatshirt. To bowl, organize a team of four-to-five bowlers.
USA Cares assists post-9/11 service members, veterans and their families with financial and advocacy support. Proceeds from the Bowl-a-thon benefit soldiers from Kentucky in need of assistance for basic needs, post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury treatment. Sign up at www.usacares.org.
LaRue County Park and Recreation Board
