Southern Health Partners named in Taylor lawsuit

A Taylor County man who claims he wasn't given necessary medical treatment while an inmate has filed suit against the company that provides medical care at the Taylor County Detention Center.

Jamestown Attorney Derrick Helm filed a complaint on behalf of James Johnson in Taylor Circuit Court on March 31, 2010.

Johnson originally listed former Taylor County Jailer Rick Benningfield, Taylor County Judge/Executive Eddie Rogers and Taylor County as defendants. However, last Wednesday, Southern Health Partners Inc. was added as a defendant.
