The South Fork Area Homemakers met Nov. 20 at the LaRue County Extension Office.
Hostesses were Delores Bale, Amanda Gatewood and Julia Devore.
Also present were Virginia Allen, Janice Bowen, Exie Elliott, Ann E. Flanders, Emogene Gardner, Clovis Johnson, Norma Jean McDonald, Billie Shahayda, Della Thomas, Sue Crutcher and Wanda West.
The Homemakers agreed to donate $5 per member to the ovarian cancer screening project, $200 to the County Homemakers Scholarship program and sponsorship of six Wreaths Across America at a cost of $15 each. They agreed also to help with the LaRue County Beef Producers dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the County Extension Office.
The lesson “Travel Across the U.S. with Healthy Eating & Living" was given by West and Bowen. They introduced different dishes for the Club they might experience if they traveled to different parts of the United States. Taste-testing of several of these wonderful dishes was part of the experience.
The inspirational was given by Delores Bale "What is a Homemaker" with Clovis Johnson giving the meal blessing before a pot luck luncheon.
The Club will meet at 4 p.m. Dec. 18 at the Extension Office. Members are to bring a $15 gift for exchange.
