The largest telephone cooperative in Kentucky wants to expand its offerings into Green County with fiber optic network communications that could eventually encompass the entire county.
South Central Rural Telephone Company, which already serves a portion of southwestern Green County is studying the feasibility of extending its network through Greensburg to join up with territory it already serves in Mount Sherman.
SCRTC executive David Davis, who lives at Pierce, said the company is expanding into several counties, possibly including Green, which needs it bad, he said.
