The annual Sonora Days Festival will be held Aug. 26-28.
The festival was moved this year from June to August and in an effort to help deal with the heat, most events will be held in the grassy, more shaded areas near the churches and old elementary school.
The weekend kicks off Friday evening with country music in front of Cardin’s ProLix.
Competitors may register 6:30 a.m. Saturday for the 5K/3K walk/run. The event begins at 8 a.m. with lineup at the Sonora First Baptist Church parking lot. Entry fee is $15 or $20 on the day of the festival.
