The LaRue County Lady Hawks won their season opener March 14 with a 10-4 thrashing of Bardstown Bethlehem in eight innings.
Junior Brigitte Skaggs went 2-for-5 with a double and five RBIs as the visiting Lady Hawks knocked off the Banshees.
Bethlehem scored first, bringing in two runs in the bottom of the first inning. LaRue didn’t score until the third inning – but scored six in the final inning.
Freshman Jill Hughes chipped in with two doubles and two RBIs, while junior Peyton Gardner had three singles and an RBI.
