SOFTBALL: Lady Hawks defeat Hart, fall to Central Hardin

The LaRue County High School Lady Hawks defeated Hart County 10-6 May 3.
The outcome was much the same at the teams’ first meeting this season. The Lady Hawks won 13-4 in April.
The Lady Hawks used a six-run sixth inning to pull away from Hart County.
Trailing 6-4, LaRue County broke the game open in the sixth to win its second straight.
Sophomore Brigitte Skaggs went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.
Freshman Tristan Cruse added three hits and two runs, and senior Bethany Skaggs went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Brigitte Skaggs struck out four and gave up six hits and three earned runs.
Central Hardin
The Lady Hawks lost 8-1 Monday to Central Hardin.
LaRue scored its lone run on three consecutive hits by sophomores Peyton Gardner, Courtney Johnson and Brigitte Skaggs.
The Lady Hawks play at Meade County May 10 and Greenwood May 14. Their final home game is 5:30 p.m. May 15 against John Hardin.
The final regular season game is 5:30 p.m. May 16 at Taylor County.
