Softball event wraps up festival

After two days packed with activities, the annual Sonora Days celebration wraps up today with a softball challenge for teams of experienced players.

The tournament field is limited to participants age 40 or older.

Action begins at 1 p.m. today.

The festival, staged by Sonora Merchants Inc., attracted thousands to the community on KY 84 just across the Hardin-LaRue county line. It featured a street dance, cruise-in, parade, classic car cruise-in, tractor pull, pageants and plenty of music, food and craft vendors.
