Sierra Enlow, a LaRue County High School graduate, has been named Kentucky Cherry Blossom Princess.
She was selected to represent the Kentucky Society of Washington D.C. and will be representing the state at the Cherry Blossom Festival April 3-9 in Washington D.C.
Each princess is selected by her state society, territory or country to be cultural ambassadors for the National Conference of State Societies for a one-year reign.
Princesses are chosen based on academic achievement, poise and appearance, interpersonal communication skills, community service, maturity and responsibility.
The Society sponsors such events as the Bluegrass Ball in celebration of the quadrennial Presidential Inauguration, the Cherry Blossom Ball and a Pre-Kentucky Derby Party.
Enlow graduated cum laude from University of Kentucky and is pursuing a master’s degree in agricultural economics. She participated in Alpha Omicron Pi International Women’s Fraternity and the Center for Community Outreach.
Enlow was an active member of FFA while in high school and continues to work on her parents’ farm outside Hodgenville. She is the daughter of B.J. and Robert Enlow.
