Short school board meeting: Consent agenda approved

-A A +A

Monday’s school board meeting went off without a hitch – all 10 minutes of it. Before the meeting was called to order, board members chuckled at the fact that the agenda had no items listed under the action agenda.
“I thought my computer messed up,” said board member Ronnie Chelf with a laugh. However, there was no error and the meeting carried on.
Board members, with the exception of Norbert Skees (who was not in attendance), approved the items of the consent agenda including minutes, claims, treasurer’s report, emergency substitute certification requests, purchase of a hybrid bus, summer camps, Cool School positions, computer surplus, Kid’s Crew positions and site-based council allocations.
Teachers Missy Flanders, David Noe and Chris Price were all recognized for being named Campbellsville University Excellence in Teaching recipients.
The following personnel changes were also announced:
• Accepted resignation due to retirement of Debby Taylor, teacher at LaRue County High School, effective end of school year.
• Accepted resignation, due to retirement of Anna Jo Pepper, guidance counselor at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, effective July 1.
• Accepted resignation, due to retirement of Diane Akridge as school administrative manager at Hodgenville Elementary School, effective June 30.
• Accepted resignation of Renee Ragland, attendance clerk at HES.
