Several indicted in Hart County

The Hart County grand jury handed down several indictments in April.

Wendell G. Ake Jr.,38, was charged with impersonating a peace officer by unlawfully pretending to represent a law enforcement agency with the intent to induce another person to submit to false official authority.

Jeffrey L. Rice,43, Buffalo, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cocaine.

Albert T. Speed,32, Hodgenville, was charged with first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, less than 2 grams, methamphetamine and complicity.

Jana D. Collins,39, of Magnolia, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance less than 2 grams, methamphetamine and complicity.

The indictment of a person by a grand jury is an accusation only and the person is innocent until and unless proven guilty.
