Several events planned for National Library Week

 National Library Week

The LaRue County Public Library will celebrate National Library Week April 14-18 with several events.

Monday, April 14 

Return library items with no fines. It’s time to dig in your closest and look under your bed for overdue library items. All items overdue one day or several years can be returned with no fines.

Story Time, 10 a.m.

Bookalicious, 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, April 15

Library Workers Day – Visit the library and tell a librarian “thank you” for their exceptional contribution to the library. Play a game by guessing the job title of each librarian and be entered in a drawing for a $20 gift card to Lincoln’s Loft.

Wednesday, April 16

National Bookmobile Day: Ms. Virginia will be giving prizes to everyone that visits the bookmobile.

Toddler Tales, 10 a.m.

Word Warriors, 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 17

Did you know the library has free downloadable books? The library will offer a “How to download free ebooks” class at 2 p.m. Everyone attending the class will be entered in a drawing for a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble.

Friday, April 18

If you missed it, we’re doing it again. Return library items with no fines. All items overdue one day or several years can be returned with no fines.

Saturday, April 19

Family Movie Day: Everyone welcome for pizza and a movie at 11:30 a.m.
