The goal of public education in Kentucky is to have students prepared for college or career by the time they graduate from high school.
To be considered college ready, a student must meet benchmark scores on the ACT, Compass (Computer-Advanced Placement and Support System), or KYOTE (The Kentucky Online Testing Placement) assessments.
To be thought career ready, a student must meet benchmarks in a career academic and a career technical area.
