The future is bright for the Lady Hawks’ basketball program. The seventh-grade team had a perfect season, finishing with a 28-0 record. The girls worked extremely hard over the summer playing in many games and AAU competitions with Coach James “Boo” Brewer. They abided by the motto set for them, “Work Hard, Play Harder.”
The team started its season with an overtime victory at Nelson County. That was the closest any team came to beating them as they ran away with most of their games. The Lady Hawks’ victories averaged 21 points per game.
