LaRue County School District has recently been recognized as one of the 2013 Top Workplaces among similarly sized companies, organizations, and educational institutions in Kentucky. There were 36 school systems in this division.
The 2013 Top Workplaces distinction is earned through employee survey results distributed by Workplace Dynamics that asked employees to rate their company, organization, or educational institution and their bosses by responding to a series of statements.
The anonymous surveys were conducted partly to encourage employees to be candid when responding to statements such as “I have confidence in the leadership of the organization,” or “My pay is fair for the work that I do.”
To further ensure integrity of survey responses, employee participation was voluntary.
In the school district, 196 out of 291 employees chose to participate in the survey.
Superintendent Sam Sanders, said, “I’m proud that the LaRue County Schools now has the academic ranking of 11th out of 173 school districts in Kentucky, and I’m also pleased that our employees enjoy coming to work each day and making a difference for our kids.”
