Hodgenville and Abraham Lincoln Elementary Schools will have Wee Time 9-10:30 a.m. Aug. 18. The first session is at ALES. The letter is B, the numbers are 3 and 4, the shape is oval and the color is yellow. Wee Time is a free preschool program for ages 2-4. LaRue County Reads
Volunteer to tutor a child in reading for one-half hour each week at one of the local schools. Volunteers must attend a short training class. To volunteer or for more information, call Sarah Hornback at the LaRue County Board of Education at 358-8334 or 358-4111.
WKU open house
Western Kentucky University’s Office of Admissions will host an open house 6-8 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Pritchard Community Center in Elizabethtown. Faculty, staff, financial aid and admissions personnel will be available to provide information. Goodwill donations benefit county
When you donate textiles to the Goodwill stores in Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Campbellsville or Bardstown, local Family Resource Centers and Youth Service Center will receive 11.5 cents per pound of the donation. You must inform the store that the donation is being made to benefit LaRue County schools.
