ALES site-based council
The ALES site-based decision-making council will meet at 5:35 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the school’s conference room. Future dates are Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Dec. 9, Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12 and June 9. For more information, call the school at 270-358-4112.

LaRue County Reads needs volunteers
Volunteer to tutor a child in reading for as little as one-half hour each week at a local school.
Volunteers must attend a short training class. The next training is 10 a.m. Oct. 3 at the LaRue County Board of Education. Training will last about one hour. For more information or to register for the training, call Sarah Hornback at 358-8334 or 358-4111.
Abraham Lincoln Elementary School will host Wee Time 9-10:30 a.m. Oct. 3. The color is brown. Hodgenville Elementary School will host the Oct. 17 program. The color will be black.
