Youth Service Center Advisory Council to meet

The LaRue County Schools Youth Service Center Advisory Council will meet 11:30 a.m. March 14 at the LaRue County Extension office. Meeting is open to the public. For more information, call Marsha Duncan at 358-9745.

 

HES

Hodgenville Family Resource Center Advisory Council

The Hodgenville Family Resource Center Advisory Council will meet 11:30 a.m. March 19 in the HES workroom. The public is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Melissa Pearman at 358-3506. 

 

Kindergarten registration

Hodgenville Elementary School will have kindergarten registration 8 a.m.-6 p.m. March 26 in the front lobby. To enroll, students must be 5 by Oct. 1. Registration requires proof of residence, official birth certificate, Social Security card and immunization certificate. Physical, eye and dental exams must be complete before child starts school. If schools are canceled due to bad weather, registration will be rescheduled. For more information, call the school at 358-3506.

 

HES site-based council 

The HES site-based decision-making council will meet at 4 p.m. on March 25 in the school’s conference room. For more information, call the school at 358-3506.

 

LCHS 

Prom

The LaRue County High School Prom is April 20 on the LCHS campus.

 

LCMS 

Reality Store 

The 4-H Reality Store will be March 28 at LaRue County Middle School. If you would like to volunteer, call the LaRue County Extension office at 358-3401.

 

LCMS site-based council

The LCMS site-based council meets at 4:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. For more information, call the school at 358-3196.

 

OTHER

Wee Time 

Abraham Lincoln Elementary School will host Wee Time 9-10:30 a.m. March 14. The color is green. Hodgenville Elementary School will host the March 21 program. The color will be yellow.

Wee Time is a free preschool program for ages 2-4 sponsored by Family Resource Centers, Kids Crew Plus and United Way. For more information, call Melissa Pearman at 358-3506 or Machelle Durham at 358-4112.

 

Kindergarten Here I Come – biweekly 

“Kindergarten Here I Come” helps students prepare for kindergarten. The free session is 9-10:30 a.m. March 20 at Hodgenville Elementary School. The themes are rhyming, sight words and Dr. Seuss. The next session is April 10. Parents should attend. KHIC is sponsored by Family Resource Centers, Kids Crew Plus and United Way. For more information, call Melissa Pearman at 358-3506.
