ALES site-based council
The ALES site-based decision-making council will meet at 5:35 p.m. on the second Monday of each month in the school’s conference room. Future dates are Sept. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 11, Dec. 9, Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10, April 14, May 12 and June 9. For more information, call the school at 358-4112.
Open house for LaRue County High School is 6-8 p.m. Aug. 20. Parents will follow their student’s schedule and meet with classroom teachers. Schedule: 6-6:10 p.m. – welcome in auditorium; 6:15-6:27 p.m. – first period; 6:32-6:44 p.m. – second period; 6:49-7:01 p.m. – third period; 7:06-7:18 p.m. – fourth period; 7:23-7:35 p.m. – fifth period; and 7:40-7:52 p.m. – sixth period. AP teachers will discuss the course and how students will prepare for the AP exam in May 2014.
LCMS site-based council
The LCMS site-based council meets at 4:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. For more information, call the school at 358-3196.
Hodgenville Elementary School will host Wee Time 9-10:30 a.m. Aug. 15. The color is red. Abraham Lincoln Elementary School will host the Aug. 22 program. The color will be blue.

‘Kindergarten Here I Come’ coming in January

Hodgenville Family Resource Center has signed up LaRue County schools for the Goodwill Agency Assistance Program.
When you donate textiles, shoes and other clothing and accessories to Goodwill, inform them that it is for LaRue County schools. The Family Resource Centers and Youth Service Center will receive 11.5 cents per pound and you will also receive a receipt for tax purposes.
Drop items at the Elizabethtown, Radcliff, Campbellsville or Bardstown Goodwill stores. The Hodgenville Family Resource Center will give out Agency Assistance Shopping Vouchers to LaRue County families in need.
