Wonderful Wednesday graduates needed for parade

Wonderful Wednesday is inviting all former W.W. students to join them as they walk in the Lincoln Days Parade. The program is being honored this year as the grand marshal. For more information, call Abraham Lincoln Elementary at 358-4112. Parade lineup is 1:30 p.m. Oct. 2.

Fourth District Choir

Fourth District Choir practice is 2:45-4 p.m. Sept. 16 and 23. The group will perform 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at Bardstown Baptist Church.

Time capsule opening

In 2000, Magnolia Elementary School third- and fourth-graders buried a time capsule. Students planned to open the capsule in 25 years but since the old school is for sale, staff decided to open it early.

The capsule will be unearthed 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10. Any former students or faculty are welcome to attend.

Internet-Laptop Parent Orientations

Parent orientation for laptop computers is 6 p.m. Sept. 20 for junior class parents and 6 p.m. Sept. 21 for senior class parents.

Site-based council meetings

Site-based council meetings are 4:30 p.m. Sept. 15; Oct. 13; Nov. 10; and Dec. 8.

Band of Hawks Lincoln Days Contest

The Band of Hawks will sponsor a band contest Oct. 2 during Lincoln Days. It should start about noon at Hawk field.

Wee Time at HES

Hodgenville and Abraham Lincoln Elementary Schools will have Wee Time 9-10:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at HES. The letter is F, the color is purple, the shape is circle and the numbers are 9 and 10. Wee Time is a free preschool program for ages 2-4. For more information, call Melissa Pearman at 358-3506.
