At the May 17 school board meeting, it appeared to note on the agenda that the teachers of LaRue County were receiving a pay cut, but Superintendent Sam Sanders explained that the decrease of salary was due to Kentucky legislators not adopting a budget.
Sanders said the school calendars had to be submitted by June 1, 2010, so a calendar had to be set with the possible deduction of two days, therefore causing teachers to receive a salary without those two days included.
