Repercussions of January’s ice storm still are being felt as school officials discuss ways of making up snow days.
Some school districts missed more than 20 days because of weather, according to Robert Weber of LRC eNews. LaRue County students missed nine days and will be required to make up at least seven.
“There has been legislation passed to allow for disaster days, but the law is very complex which is causing a lot of confusion across the state,” instructional supervisor Amanda Reed said in an e-mail.
