School board approves new teaching position

 The LaRue County School Board approved the creation of a hearing impaired teacher at a special called meeting on Aug. 20.

The school district already had a contract with Hardin County to provide the service to students.  However, the contract does not cover services to preschool students and there is a student within the district in need of that assistance.
