Sayre to portray Lincoln in Saipan

Kentucky Chautauqua’s Jim Sayre of Lawrenceburg, portraying Abraham Lincoln, was recently selected for nine performances in Saipan, according to a news release from the Kentucky Humanities Council.

Located in the western Pacific Ocean, Saipan is the largest of the United States Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands.

Sayre will travel more than 6,500 miles to Saipan in October to perform at junior high schools and high schools in the area.

A retired transportation manager, Sayre has been studying and portraying Abraham Lincoln for several decades.
