Adam Sandidge, LaRue County’s only competitor, won the 1,600 at Friday’s Central Hardin Invitational. He set a school record with a time of 4:26.81.

Sandidge took second in the 800, after setting the school record in the event Wednesday in the LaRue County All-Comers meet. He broke the record Friday with a time of 2:00.57.

Sandidge had taken the lead with about 200 meters to go from Central’s Christian Wright.

Wright regained the lead as he and Sandidge entered the final 100 meters and beat Sandidge in the 800 for the second time in two days.
