The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce will honor Rita Williams for the years of service given as the executive director of the chamber on Dec. 15. Each of the past presidents of the chamber who have worked with Williams will be present and speak about how she has moved the chamber forward.
Williams asked for a leave of absence in September to pursue political office and has since tendered her resignation as executive director.
“Rita has been the face and voice for the chamber of commerce and all of Hodgenville and LaRue County for many years. We continue to recognize the hard work, countless hours, and generous contributions she has made to make the chamber viable,” said Dr. Tom Davenport, chamber president.
The ceremony will coincide with the regular chamber luncheon at noon held in The Lincoln Museum Community Room. The public is welcome to attend.
