An expected vote on a new tax on prepared food has been delayed.
The Hodgenville City Council voted Monday night to postpone first reading of the city’s restaurant tax. The first reading will be held at the council’s next regular meeting.
Councilman Jim Phelps made the motion to postpone the reading, saying, “I don’t feel like I’ve had enough time to go over the ordinance and really read it, so I’d like to see it continued to the next meeting.”
